PA Club Trip to Circle B Bar Reserve
About this event
The Circle B Bar Reserve is an area of protected lands in Polk County, Florida, United States. Consisting of 1,267 acres near Lakeland, the restored wetlands site is managed by the Polk County Board of County Commissioners, which co-owns it with the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Circle B Bar Reserve, on the shore of Lake Hancock, is a former cattle ranch that boasts a wide variety of plants and animals. The park opens at 5:30 am.
We will meet between 9:00am and 9:15am for a tram tour of the Banana Creek Marsh with a volunteer guide who will point out plants, birds and history of the property as well as on-going restoration projects..
- Tours start at 9:30am until noon
- Participants may use restroom facilities located in the Discovery Center before and after the tour. (There are no restrooms along the tour route.)
- It is recommended that participants bring water.
- Meet at Polk's Nature Discovery Center: Nature Classroom at Circle B Bar Reserve
There is no cost for the tour and visit to the Circle B Bar Reserve, You pay for your own lunch.
Following the tour we will stop for lunch at Catfish Country in Bartow on the trip back to Del Webb.
