Blackburn’s BBQ is a patriotic, family-run smokehouse in Eagle Lake known for tender smoked meats, generous portions, and warm Southern hospitality. Owned by Polk County native Brandon Blackburn, the restaurant occupies a former barbershop he visited as a child, now transformed into a cozy, Americana-themed dining room filled with flags and historic documents.

Guests consistently praise the fall-off-the-bone ribsjuicy brisket, and pulled pork, along with standout sides like mac & cheeseMimi’s corn casserole, and BBQ beans. Portions are large, prices are fair, and the staff delivers friendly, family-style service — the kind of welcoming atmosphere our group always enjoys.

With its hometown charm and reliably excellent food, Blackburn’s BBQ is a strong contender for a casual, comfort-food outing, especially for members who appreciate authentic Southern barbecue and a relaxed, community-driven setting.
